Just returned from another wonderful stay at Hearthside Grove. Expansion work continues on an already magnificent park. This is a "Condo" park, but has spaces for rent also. This is a class A motorhome park only. We stayed on a free offer. The sites are all nicely landscaped (some exceptionally landscaped) with nice level concrete pads. The entrance is now gated and manned. Wi-Fi available at site was strong and reliable. The staff is terrific: even have a concierge staff to tend to your every need. Every member of the staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. There is even a courtesy car to borrow for those that need to run to the local grocery. While this is not a true kids park: the pool area is now complete and there is plenty of room to ride bikes and areas to play, however there are no developed playgrounds. Everything here is spotless. I think that this will end up rated as one of the top Class A resorts in the nation. A wonderful place to stay! As we stayed on a free offer, I am only guessing at the nightly rate. (This website would not allow me to post the review without entering something in the nightly rate box).
We can't say enough good about this park. Staff was very friendly and helpful from check in to check out. The area is a bit out of the way and the last few miles of the drive were challenging mountain roads. Wonderfully kept park with level concrete pads and full hookups at each site. While a bit pricey we thought it was worth the price. It is a class A motorhome only park. There is a small 9 hole par 3 golf course on site. We stayed two very relaxing days here.
We had time for only one night here. Paved interior roads and gravel sites. After reading the wonderful reviews we were expecting more. Sites are packed pretty tightly together, as is everything in this area. In our area back in sites are angled for a "herring bone" type pattern. While eating our dinner a large motorhome was backing in to an adjacent site and backed right into the corner of my awning. Bath house was wonderful as described in previous reviews. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful at check in and at other times for information. Campground is on trolley line, but for Pigeon Forge only. We wanted to go to Gatlinburg and had to make two trolley transfers to get there. In general we enjoyed the campground and it is extremely convenient location.
We spent one night here in a pull through site. Conveniently located to Mammoth Cave NP and easy access from the highway. Gravel interior roads and sites. Each site had a concrete patio area. Cable TV and Wi-Fi was great. Staff very friendly at check in and guided us to our site. Not a great deal to do here for children, but a good over night stop. If you are a light sleeper be aware of a railroad line behind the park.
